My favourite train journey is from St Erth to St Ives. I’ve probably said this before but I think the bit in The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy about the place where you were born having a string attached to your navel and the further you go away the more it tugs is true. In that respect I am lucky to not be Arthur Dent, Cornwall still exists, although most days the demolition of Earth doesn’t seem too tragic a prospect. Still, there are positive sides to its survival from Vogon constructor fleets (as of yet) this photograph is of Scotland where I would like to venture again and I have my sights set on the Mongolian Express.
Full steam ahead.
